Irony she wouldn't have cared what John did because she was brain washed to think that its ok.

Summary
Bernard, Lenina, John, and Linda now are all preparing to go back to London. Bernard receives permission to take the two (savages) back to London. Upon taking a large amount of Soma Lenina passes out. John breaks into her room and started going through her suitcase. John soon starts going through Lenina's stuff sniffing and admiring everything in it. After that he quotes Shakes spear about how beautiful Lenina is by referencing Romeo and Juliet. Later he realizes that what he's doing is wrong and decides to leave before she wakes up. He leaves when he hears the sound of a helicopter approaching and decides to meet Bernard outside, rather than have Bernard find him in Lenina's room.

Bernard heads to the factory and continues to work his job. The Director arrives and starts to confront and mock Bernard forcing the people in the factory to watch. Using the public as his court, the Director passes judgment on Bernard. Thinking that he should be sent to Iceland were he could mislead other people. The Director then asks Bernaard how he pleads to this possible banishment. Bernard replies by humiliating the director in front of everyone. Bernard walks to the door and introduces the Director to Linda, who tries to remind him of who she was. She pleads on and on about how they went on their trip and talks about her pregnancy. Upon hearing that she had a child from the director the crowd immediately becomes silent. The Director becomes pale and stiff as a ghost. Next to enter the building is John who repeatedly calls the Director "my father." That makes the crowd burst into laughter. The Director soon leaves fully humiliated while Bernard watches smiling at what he has accomplished.

Possible meaning
These chapters both provide more info and a change in the characters lives. With John we see a Native out cast shunned by both worlds finally being accepted by some people. He also appears to show signs that he is falling in love with Lenina by reciting a quote from Romeo and Juliet while she's asleep. He takes a great deal of interest in London and all its amenities by sniffing all of Lenina's personal belongings while looking around at everything. Bernard on the other hand is changing into a bit of a jerk by humiliating the director and seems to be taking less interest in Lenina.
I see an ironic connection almost in both characters. We see John who was treated as an out cast monster, then Bernard who is turning into one by ignoring the dystopia life and laws. John is becoming more and more "normal" human while Bernard is taking advantage of John, using him to get back at the Director and become the center of attention. Its almost like Bernard and John swap places.
